One of North America's most well renowned ski resorts, Aspen Snowmass offers skiing at four adjacent mountains each with their own unique appeal. The conference will be based in the town of Aspen. Located at the base of Aspen Mountain, the town of Aspen is home to a multitude of boutique shops and esteemed restaurants which encompass Aspen's rich history as a silver mining town. With conference sessions held in the late afternoon, there is plenty of time to explore all that Aspen has to offer.

Aspen:

At Aspen Snowmass you will find terrain to suit skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.

Aspen Mountain (Ajax) is accessible directly from downtown Aspen, offering a range of intermediate to advanced slopes. Here you will find steeps, bumps and black diamond runs. Looking for a challenge, head to Aspen Mountain!

For the adventurous, tackle the steep terrain of the Aspen Highlands bowl – a local’s favourite. It’s a one hour hike to the top, but the breathtaking views and amazing skiing is said to make it all worthwhile.

For families, first timers and a leisurely cruise head to Buttermilk where the terrain is the mildest. Buttermilk is also the home of the Winter X-Games, with a number of terrain parks and a superpipe featured at this resort. The 2010 Winter X-Games 14 will be held from 28-31 January.

As the second largest ski resort in Colorado, Snowmass hosts the greatest acreage of terrain of all the four mountains. With terrain catering for all abilities from beginners to expert, skiing at Snowmass is a must for any trip to Aspen Snowmass.

For cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, there are a number of trails within the vicinity of Aspen – a great way to enjoy scenic Aspen!

Getting To Aspen:

Aspen Airport (ASE), is located just 5 kilometres from Aspen. Direct flights to Aspen Airport from San Francisco, Los Angeles and Denver operate daily. Service providers include United Airlines, Delta (operated by SkyWest Airlines) and Frontier Airlines.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is located an approximate 4 hour drive from Aspen. Colorado Mountain Express (CME) provide a door to door shuttle service from Denver International Airport to Aspen.
