Banks View of Partnerships
Sounds inviting but what do the Banks think? While their serviceability criteria might not allow 100% lending in a lot of cases (and I think this is prudent), they will feel comforted by the fact that the Senior Partner who has been in business some years will still be in control or can monitor the junior partner hence they will almost always lend above that of a single buyer scenario. Of course the Senior partner needs to protect themselves but there is ways and means of doing this. This leads to a whole series of questions but if done right the whole process is a win – win for all involved.
