The 2007 Pharmacy Snow Business Conference will be held at the Mt Buller Chalet Hotel from 19th to 23rd August. Already this season, we are very fortunate to have had fantastic snow falls with Mt Buller experiencing the best conditions in years.

Established over a decade ago, the Pharmacy Snow Business Conference has proven to be a highly valuable learning experience for all involved. Presentations will be delivered from a number of expert speakers with delegates able to appreciate the vast array of knowledge. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet and spend time with pharmacy peers. Each year, around 50 pharmacists from across Australia enjoy this opportunity to recharge the batteries and stimulate the intellect.

The format allows delegates to enjoy a leisurely ski on the slopes, with family, friends and colleagues. Conference sessions are scheduled in the late afternoon and are followed by group dinners at the mountains best restaurants. The week's presentations include a mix of highly relevant clinical and business topics administered by a number of excellent presenters.

Following last year's great success, the on-snow program will again be incorporated into the conference. This provides an opportunity for delegates to ski with an experienced skier, learn new skills, challenge themselves on-snow, and then translate the lessons learned during the day, to business skills and principles in the evening conference session. This year Andrew and Stephanie Sirianni will lead the on-snow program. Andrew has successfully competed in moguls events representing Australia at Europa Cup and World Cup levels as a member of NSWIS and AIS. Stephanie, a freeride pipe skier, has recently returned from a very successful competition season in North America. The on-snow program has been a great success and is very popular and skiers of all levels are catered for!

Apart from the learning experience, it seemed that last in year's group, everyone's burning desire was to be the fastest skier in the Medici Capital Pharmacy Ski Cup. Even the previous night's activities; dinner, drinks and karaoke could not tire the pharmacists as they raced down the slopes in search of pseudo olympic glory. Winners in the past have included Paul Naismith, Cathy Henry, Paul Pickersgill and Diana Nowak. The race has already been booked and is set to be a highlight of the week.
