The event was attended by representatives from all the major banks and wholesalers, eager to hear the perspective of The Pharmacy Guild and Medici Capital in relation to the future of pharmacy. The general consensus was that numerically, the future appeared bleak, however long term, pharmacy would continue to well.
Speakers at the lunch were:
- Frank Sirianni of Medici Capital;
- Vasken Demirian of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia; and
- John Dowling of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
John and Vasken re-iterated praise for Kos Sclavos, National President of The Pharmacy Guild, for his insight in aligning the interests of the medical associations to ensure the best possible result for all parties when engaging in the agreement proceedings. This allowed the development of the fourth agreement to continue smoothly and swiftly allowing for pharmacy industry security to be locked into Australia before the next federal election.
