The 3rd Annual Pharmacy Horizons Dinner was held in Melbourne on 30 November 2006. Hosted by Medici Capital and PSA (Vic) the event offered attendants great networking opportunities and valuable information on pharmacy trends.

Each Horizon event has guest speakers who give their views on Pharmacy Horizons and trends. On this occasion, Frank Sirianni, Managing Director of Medici Capital offered a welcome speech addressing guests. They included representatives from major banks, pharmacy owners and representatives from wholesalers, thanking them for their active participation and support during 2006. Following Frank, Mr John Jackson of PSA thanked Medici Capital for their constant support to pharmacy owners and stressed the importance of the Horizon events to pharmacists. The final speaker for the evening was Elmo De Alwis, CEO and Managing Director of Sigma Pharmaceuticals, who provided some insight into the strengths of the Australian Pharmacy Industry.

The Pharmacy Horizon Events are a key professional initiative by Medici Capital and PSA (Vic) in the interest of promoting an exchange between leading pharmacists and aspiring entrepreneurs in the four key areas of:

Careers/Employment
Partnership
Wealth

This was the last of a series of Horizons events for 2006, created to keep young, and young at heart, pharmacists updated as to pharmacy trends. This year, we discovered that the future can only be brighter - so stay optimistic.
